Mississauga, ON – May 27, 2009 – the Pressure Pipe Inspection Company Ltd. (PPIC) announced that it will feature two advanced pipeline condition assessment technologies at the American Water Works Annual Conference & Exposition (ACE'09) which will be held at the San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, California, June 14 – 18. The PPIC display can be located at booth #2647.

Versatile and reliable, the PipeDiver™ system has been specifically designed for use in PCP lines that are live or can’t be taken out of service due to a lack of redundancy or operational constraints. PipeDiver™ provides accurate condition assessment of critical infrastructure, specifically detecting prestressing wire breaks that could lead to pipe ruptures. Compared to alternative methods of condition assessment, the PipeDiver™ solution offers a significant cost savings as the pipeline remains in service, eliminating the need for de-watering and service shutdown.

The Sahara® water pipeline inspection system is a non-destructive, in-line, condition assessment tool that can detect leaks in a live pipeline. Sahara is used primarily on larger diameter water transmission mains of all materials without interruption of service. Once a leak has been located, the technology is used to pinpoint its location all in real time during the inspection.

At the ACE'09 exhibition, attendees will find the latest products and services available for the water infrastructure industry. With more than 500 exhibitors on hand to answer questions about the latest technology available, attendees can gather valuable information and establish contacts within the water community.
