The Pressure Pipe Inspection Company files motion to dismiss Pure's Claims

For Immediate Delivery

Mississauga, Ontario, Canada - February 17th, 2005 - The Pressure Pipe Inspection Company Ltd and Pressure Pipe Inspection Company (USA) Inc, announced today that they had filed a motion to dismiss Pure Technologies, Inc's patent infringement case against them in Philadelphia, citing lack of jurisdiction and improper venue.

Pure Technologies sued the Pressure Pipe Inspection Company and its U.S. subsidiary in Philadelphia, in December 2004, alleging that the Pressure Pipe Inspection Company and its subsidiary had infringed patents belonging to Pure by conducting electromagnetic pipe inspections in Pennsylvania in late 2003 and early 2004.

The motion filed by the Pressure Pipe Inspection company states that the work done in Pennsylvania was actually completed in early 2003 long before Pure?s patents were issued. The Pressure Pipe Inspection Company feels confident that it will prevail in this proceeding brought by Pure Technologies.
