PPIC wins Ontario Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Business Achievement Award
Mississauga, Ontario, Canada - October 1, 2001 - David Bishop, FCA, Chief Executive Officer and Chair of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, is pleased to announce the winners of the 2001 Outstanding Business Achievement Awards. This year's winners are:
- Bryston Ltd. of Peterborough, Ontario
- Comtek Advanced Structures Ltd. of Burlington, Ontario
- Fielding Chemical Technologies Inc. of Mississauga, Ontario
- G-P Flakeboard Company of Bancroft, Ontario
- Zellers Inc. of Brampton, Ontario

"The spirit of excellence continues to thrive in Ontario and is reflected in the recipients of Outstanding Business Achievement Award." Winners will be formally recognized at our Awards Dinner on Wednesday, October 17, 2001 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre with Ontario Premier Michael Harris as the guest of honour.
Bryston Ltd. was nominated by the TD Commercial Bank & the Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce. Bryston is a premiere amplifier company whose product line is renowned for its high standard of musical accuracy, technical excellence and reliability.
Comtek Advanced Structures Inc. was nominated by the Burlington Chamber of Commerce. Comtek specializes in providing repair manufacturing and engineering services for aircraft components made from advanced composite materials, and for bonded metallic structures.
Fielding Chemical Technologies Inc. was nominated by the Mississauga Board of Trade. Fielding is the largest, most sophisticated recycler of solvents and refrigerants in Canada.
The G-P Flakeboard Company was nominated by the Bancroft & District Chamber of Commerce for this years' award. As a manufacturer of particleboard products, G-P Flakeboard has taken a decisive leadership role in enhancing workplace skills and encouraging positive labour management relations.
Zellers Inc was nominated by the Brampton Board of Trade for this years' award. Zellers is the mass channel retail brand of Hudson's Bay Company and is Canada's largest mass merchandise department store chain.
Three companies are also being recognized with an OCC Award of Merit. They are: AME International of Richmond Hill; CanReg Inc. of Hamilton and; the Pressure Pipe Inspection Company of Mississauga.
The Ontario Chamber of Commerce represents over 57,000 Ontario businesses through 156 local Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade.
