Dr. Brian Mergelas, Ph.D
President and Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Brian Mergelas is the founding President and CEO of the Pressure Pipe Inspection Company. His commitment to advancing condition assessment solutions for municipal and industrial water markets is well documented. In addition to publishing over 50 papers in academic and industry journals, he coauthored the America Water Works Association Research Foundation (AwwaRF) book “Electromagnetic Inspection of Prestressed Concrete Pressure Pipe.”

A visionary in the water industry, Dr. Mergelas believes that by using advanced pipeline assessment technologies to establish the condition of a water transmission network, operators can more effectively manage their critical assets. The infrastructure-funding gap as identified by EPA, AWWA, WERF and others can be overcome by using advanced technology to prioritize repair and rehabilitation and to extend the safe operating life of pipelines.
